Our new four-hour masterclass will cover fragrance blending to safety labelling and working the volumes, this class will demystify some common technical, legal and creative challenges and will help you develop two signature scents for your brand. 

Marketing & Branding for Candle Brands

This course is designed for a brand or candle maker who wants to build a product with clarity, consistency, and meaning. The focus is on developing a strong brand foundation through storytelling, thoughtful positioning, and intentional photography.

Whether you’re early in your process or refining an existing brand, this course offers practical guidance and visual direction to help you create a candle brand that feels considered, recognisable, and cohesive.

What you’ll learn:

           Morning - 11am - 1pm

  1. Planning and Research. Identify your niche and create your scent stories.

  2. Testing and Product Development. Learn how to test different wax, wick and fragrance combinations, plus how to burn-test candles for safety and quality.

  3. Two signature scents. Know how to develop a small, consistent product line and how to batch pour your range.

    Afternoon - 2 - 4pm

  4. Marketing & Branding. This section is a focused course on building a clear, cohesive candle brand for your brand through storytelling, intentional positioning, and thoughtful photography. It explores visual language, scent narratives, and consistent communication.

  5. Legal: labelling compliance. Understand how to note your volumes and ingredients so you can work with a CLP adviser to create your own CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) safety labels.

  6. Equipment essentials. Get kitted out with our list of must-haves and links to oil suppliers and books. Also, take away a custom London Refinery blending kit (of beakers and scent strips) to experiment with at home.
